Geely’s 7-speed wet DCT — used in the Coolray, Emgrand X7 Sport, and Tugella — is the most common transmission complaint we handle. The 1.5TD turbocharged engine in the Coolray is a direct-injection unit — a design that causes carbon deposits to build up on the intake valves over time, producing rough idling, hesitation at low rpm, and gradually rising fuel consumption.
