Yes. Genesis issued a global recall covering certain 2021–2023 G80, G90, GV70 and GV80 models. The low-pressure fuel pump’s impeller can deform over time, which can cut fuel flow and cause the engine to stall, hesitate, or trigger the check engine light. The G70 is not affected by this particular recall. Bring your Genesis in and we’ll check your VIN against the recall list and carry out the pump replacement at our Al Quoz workshop.

We replace the washers and re-torque the connections to spec rather than just topping up oil and hoping it goes away.
